MaxJute™ thick is the robust weed and erosion control geotextile
made of natural jute fibres.
MaxJute™ thick acts as a mulch, providing weed suppression
and moisture retention to enhance plant establishment, while protecting
the topsoil from erosion.
MaxJute™ thick is 100% organic and will biodegrade over time.
MaxJute™ Thick was developed for stabilisation

Soil surfaces exposed to water flows, sheet and roll erosion, wave
erosion, strong winds or heavy rainfall can be protected with biodegradable
MaxJute™ Thick.
MaxJute™ Thick provides erosion control for up to 18 months
on batters and slopes of up to 1:1 grades, in drains, creeks, rivers
and wetlands with water velocities of 1.0 to 2.0 metres per second.
Suppresses unwanted weeds while planted vegetation is establishing.
MaxJute™ Thick acts as a roll-on mulch, adding organic matter
to the soil as it breaks down. It also encourages worm & microbial
activity in the soil, aiding soil conditioning & nitrogen fixation
MaxJute™ Thick greatly reduces moisture loss due to evapotranspiration
(evapouration) and becomes heavy when wet, conforming to the contours
of the ground. It can enhance water infiltration and wetting depth
into the soil.
MaxJute™ Thick contains no plastic meshes or glues and will
not entangle wildlife or machinery.
Does not absorb heat, helping to protect plants in hotter months.
Easily handled by one or two people.

Treemax provides a service to pre-slit the matting, at a variety
of planting densities. This saves a great deal of time on site and
labour costs when planting into the matting.
